Sure I’d been a 100% plant-eater, a vegan, for about 15 years. And yes, I’d always prided myself on keeping fit. So why did my body seem to be falling apart, as I approached the age of 40?
Well, as I later discovered, it MIGHT have had something to do with all the processed, sugar-laden, empty-calorie-rich, refined carbohydrates that had become my ‘standard fare,’ over the years. I ate them all: Pancakes, pastries, pasta; and that former favorite of mine, ‘en masse’ – fried rice from fast-food vendors.
My body paid the price.
As I approached 40, I suffered a host of symptoms that increasingly made me feel like an ‘old man’ – rather than the more vibrant, athletic youth to which I’d become accustomed. I suffered, among other ailments: Joint pain; undue soreness after workouts, and erratic sleep patterns. I developed skin blemishes, constipation, and ‘brain fog,’ along with ‘splitting’ headaches. I began seeing body-fat in all the wrong places. Plus, I developed a case of asthma that wouldn’t seem to go away, no matter what I tried.
And to make a long story short, I then ‘discovered’ what I now call the food, ‘of the gods.’ Man, I found, is predisposed to consume it. It supplies his every want, including vitamins, minerals, naturally pure water and more. It staves off constipation and cleanses the digestive tract. And it requires no exotic means of preparation. Ah yes: It’s delicious as well – a great, ‘fringe benefit!’
As I grew closer to the age of 40, which I dreaded, I decided to replace my former, high-processed-food diet, with one rich in this ‘new food,’ of which I learned.
At the same time, I gave up weight-lifting, which I’d previously enjoyed, in favor of a more minimalistic, total-body approach to fitness. It was simple, quick-to-implement. It required almost no space at all, to speak of. It required absolutely NO equipment. Yet it had been used for centuries, often exclusively, by some of the world’s greatest athletes. I embraced this workout protocol – on top of my new, natural-food-based diet.
I simplified it to what I’d call its ‘bare essentials.’ And I did it in a matter of just a few short weeks – embracing a ‘less is more’ ideology. This was in stark contrast to my former ways. Some of my friends accused me of ‘eating rabbit food’ and ‘giving up manly exercises.’ Yes, they thought I’d finally, ‘lost it,’ – first, my health, then my mind.
Yet my results?
Well, it shocked me to find how good they were – especially using so simple an approach! Yes, less truly IS more, I discovered – when it comes to some of the most important decisions, in life.
As I implemented my new lifestyle: My headaches became a thing of the past. My trips to the bathroom became more regular, a MAJOR KEY to inner health, I discovered. My recovery times from exercise shortened, and old nagging injuries disappeared, as I exercised in this new, simpler way.
I burned off ALL excess body-fat, replacing it with lean, ‘ripped’ musculature from head to toe. My join pain diminished, and then disappeared completely. My sleep patterns returned to normal. And I regained a zest for living I was beginning to think I’d lost forever – all this, in just a few short weeks. I felt reborn!
In fact, I’ve managed to build upon them, bringing my health, strength, and overall vitality to what some might call ‘inhuman’ levels. This, to the point at which, at the age of 45, I’m in BY FAR the fittest condition of my life. It has been worth it – without question. Others became curious of my ‘secret.’ Many asked for a specific protocol, all-inclusive, to accomplish what I had.
So: I combined all I’d learned into a SINGLE, COHESIVE LIFESTYLE – one which ANYONE, regardless of age or circumstance, could implement quickly. And one which, if a person stayed consistent with it, could truly expect to build the cleanest, strongest, fittest body of his/her life – producing results equal to, or even greater, than my own.
What type of results? Well, rapid fat loss, and lean, attractive muscle gain, to begin with. A cleansed, vibrant feeling built from the inside, out, as well. More regular and reliable bodily functions – like sleep and elimination. And, equally important I’d say: A revitalized sense of what’s possible, using the power of the simple.
A method of making a great, strong, ‘temple’ of one’s body, I’d say – rather than the all-too-common, middle-aged, ‘house of pains.’
